The Ballet Women’s Committee is excited about celebrating this years Debutantes. First required step is to fill out the Debutante Information form found in the drop down below. Please find all of the 2025 season information including payment links.

The parent information meeting is scheduled for September 10th at 5:30 at the VCC.
This meeting is to discuss tickets, Deb Parties, The Benefactors, Dinner, Poinsettia Ball evening arrangements and photos.

Each debutante will need order 10 personalized calling cards. Please place your order through this link. Cindy will give us the BWC all the calling cards at once.
Each Debutante will fill out her guest list online this year for 8 invitations. Please fill out the proper title, street address and state. Due October 1, 2024. Guest List Form

Debutantes’ Announcement Party:
Typically, June or July, the Debutantes are presented by the Men’s Club. Paty is typically hosted on a Sunday afternoon.
Attire : Debs wear a Sunday dress. Father’s wear a sport coat (tie is not required).

Each Debutante is required to submit a digital file and a 5x7 black and white headshot (photographed in drape) which will be used for newspaper publicity and the Poinsettia Ball Program. To ensure that all headshots look the same in quality, lighting, and style, this photo is required to be taken at Belmont Studio. You will need to use the link below provided by Belmont Studio to schedule an appointment. Please do not call the studio.
The cost for Belmont to provide a photo session and a 5x7 black and white photograph is $45. The headshot needs to be handled as soon as possible. Your senior high school headshot can be submitted if it was taken at Belmont Studio. The cost for that reprint and digital file is $20.

Photography information for the night of the Poinsettia Ball.
Each Debutante will be notified of her time by November. We plan on starting around 5:00 PM.

The parents of every Debutante are required to host a party, along with their daughter for all the Debutantes of the class. The hosts are responsible for the publicity of the party if desired. All parties and themes are booked through the social chair, Sarah Bryan, 205-951-0913. The Debutantes can individually or as group host parties but please remember to invite the entire Debutante class.

ESCORT, MEN, BOYS: TRADITIONAL TUXEDO, BLACK TIE, CUMMERBUND
WOMEN, GIRLS: FULL LENGTH GOWNS
DEBUTANTES – Every Debutante must have her gown approved by our Social Chair, Amanda Peters, 205-276-6588, a picture must be submitted. The Debutante may not purchase the gown until written approval is given.
The gown is to be white or ivory, not ecru or cream. The skirt must be FULL. NO TRAINS OR PLUNGING NECKLINES. Some pearls, white beading, white trim, white or iridescent sequins are acceptable if minimal. NO FUR, FEATHERS, CORSAGES, or HAIR ORNAMENTS are allowed. Dull or white satin gloves, 23 inches long, above the elbow are required. Minimal jewelry. The Debutante is in the spotlight. Make sure there is an adequate slip underneath.
OTHER THAN A SINGLE EARRING IN EACH EARLOBE, NO OTHER BODY PIERCINGS OR TATTOOS CAN BE VISIBLE.

Debutantes and their fathers must be at rehearsal on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Sunday dress and don’t forget to bring the shoes you will be wearing the night of the Ball.
